La Quintas are the way to go for sure. Mid level hotel. Great grassy areas for dog walking and/or frisbee throwing. Subway and Loves truck stop across the street. Room has fridge, microwave, soap, lotion etc. The only reason for the four stars is b/c the room is carpeted. Not an issue for my older dogs but for anyone with a young dog or car sick dog it could be. Hotel has laundry and offers a hot breakfast Did the job but nothing earth shattering. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy etc. Has a seasonal pool. We price compared with going in and using AAA/CAA or govt discount and Fido offered a better rate.

Pretty cheap and no additional dog fee. Laminate floors. Walmart and other stores /restaurant across the street. No microwaves in rooms or common rooms. No fridge , laundry and ice available on site. Pet walk area is like a pebble rock area. For the most part it’s clean. Dog owners definitely need to be better at picking up after their dogs. However this is an issue at even the more modern /newer dog friendly hotel. Rooms are older , wear and tear shows in the shower floor, wall corners etc. good for a night

Great mid level hotel. Beds were really comfortable, rooms were a good size, laminate and tile floors. Microwave and fridge in the room plus soap, shampoo etc.. grass area for dogs well kept and clean. Hot tub was up and running but it wasn’t super hot! Good hot breakfast 0600-0900. Right off the hwy, McDonalds across the street. Vending area has a variety of frozen dinners along with the usual vending machine items. We had a great stay and I 100% would stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was facing the courtyard on the ground floor and it was like our own little apartment. They have laundry, fire pit in the courtyard. And lots of little grassy areas. No microwave, but it did have a small fridge. You can access a microwave tho I think in the lobby area. Was a 10 minute drive to the dog beach. If you're gonna eat, try pizza from the Lamppost. One of the best pizzas I ever had! Price was right. Lots of parking. We’ve been on the road for 3 weeks traveling from Canada along the California coast and this is definitely my fave hotel that we stayed at! Has a great fitness room too.

We stayed here for one night. No microwave but we did have a fridge. Lots of parking. However if u are towing anything it might be difficult when the hotel is busy. We unhooked our 18 foot trailer for the night and parked beside it. No carpet, beds were comfy, shower was mediocre. I would definitely stay here again. Lots of grass areas for pet relief and poop bags provided. Has laundry and vending machines. McDonald’s is in the same lot and Subway beside it and a fast food hot dog shop across the street. It’s a good 2 star motel. Price is right. Military discount given.

We stayed here for one night. Arrived around 1800. They placed us at the very back. If you have a big rig or are towing it’s best to park at the front office. But it’s a long walk to the back. They have a really nice set up and if you can get a ground floor facing the pool area it would be excellent. They still have carpet which I think is not the most appropriate for dog friendly. There is a large grassy area where the pool is. Hubs says the breakfast was awesome. Overall I’d say it is fine. Not great not horrible. But I think it’s way overpriced. I would not stay here again simply b/c of the price. If I’m going to spend $200 USD I’d look elsewhere.

This is listed as a 2 star hotel and it was adequate. The rooms have been updated somewhat but washrooms still need work. Floor in the washroom had drywall mud stuck on the floor There is a pharmacy beside it and a big open grass area on the other side for dogs. Not a huge parking lot so if you're towing it could be an issue if the lot is full. They did have laundry and for $1.50 ea you can buy a box of tide and bounce sheets. No change machine tho and the local stores around wouldn’t give us quarters. So I used the vending machine. Put in bills and got change back! No microwave or fridge in the room. Ice machine, vending machine, pop machine, and microwave all in the laundry area that are locked and u need a room. Key to enter. For a two star motel I’d say it was middle of the road.

Stayed here two nights. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were in the back area which I liked. They didn’t clean our rooms in between stays but did provide more towels the second day without us needing to ask. Train tracks directly beside us, but we didn’t notice while in the room. Got stuck in the elevator. Called the front desk from the elevator and they were quick to reply. But the elevator ended up starting again. However I chose the stairs after.

They had a good breakfast. Parking lot in the back building has space for bigger rigs/towed trailers. My biggest complaint was the pet relief area was full of poop. That’s an owner issue. However we did alert the hotel staff about it in the morning. They said they would get to it and still hadn’t by the next day. Poop bags were empty. I think this is listed as a 3 star hotel and I would recommend it and likely stay here again. There is a pet daycare around the corner, The Pawington. I would recommend them as well. For a 3 star hotel it was excellent

This was a good 2 star hotel. Literally steps to the beach and downtown. Room had a refrigerator and microwave. Was clean. Older motel. If you like 5 star hotels then don’t stay here. But for a 2-3 star motel it was great. Staff friendly. I only gave it 4 bones b/c it didn’t have heat. There was a small fake electric fireplace. But it didn’t put off any heat. The ambiance was nice though, lol. No extra charges for dogs no grass pet relief at the hotel but the beach is maybe 100 steps from the rooms! I would stay here again

Motel is right off the highway. Room was clean, laminate flooring (not sure why pet friendly rooms in hotel/motels still have carpet). Burger King, Jack in the Box and others within walking distance. Has a few grass areas on property. And the price was right. It’s not fancy very basic. But we weren’t looking for fancy. No complaints.
