Well ventilated and covered. What a nice place to grab a bite to eat and have a drink after hiking or just hanging out for dinner.

Staff was friendly and lodge was nice. A lot of other families with dogs were around. Also a breakfast buffet was included on Saturday/Sunday at the lodge restaurant. No dogs allowed, but we crated our boys while we ate. Overall a good vacation experience. Only complaint about room was it had a leak around the bathroom faucet that left a puddle all over the counter top. Not a lot to do in Carrollton, but Madison is about a 15/20 minute drive and Louisville is only another 40/45 minutes away.
