First time at a dog beach. My dogs did not want to go in the water, but it was fun watching other dogs diving in after toys and relaxing in the sand. Lots of dogs and people here. Got pretty crowded at the shoreline and some dogs were rowdy. The sand warmed up quick and my dogs were ready for shade after an hour.

Best dog park ever! We only got to see a small portion of it due to time limitations but the Animas River was awesome! Lots of friendly dogs and people. Would love to return if I ever make it back to Durango with the pups.

Love this off leash area. Nice to walk up to the creek and watch the dogs play. Plenty of shade in the small dog area and squirrels in the trees.

Love this place! Been many times. So beautiful. Did a short walk with the pups last visit and looped around the park a couple times looking for wildlife. Saw several deer around sunset!

Not much shade here, but nice views and lots of room to roam. The history of this site is sobering (Japanese internment camps).

Only dog friendly cuz no pet fee but there’s no grassy area on site for pet relief. There is a nice park down the street. Younger crowd here. Parking lot and hallway smelled like marijuana, but luckily the room did not. Humid, carpet felt damp. Beds were comfy. Good location and price for what we needed.

Very simple room. Fine for the dogs. Our door was kinda warped so you could see sunlight at the bottom and bugs were able to get in. No grass here, just bark and lava rock. But it was clean enough and no pet fee so it was fine for a night.

Really nice hotel with plenty of grassy areas for the dogs to do their business. There’s also a neat maze to walk across the street. Convenient location. Friendly and clean, following social distancing guidelines. My only complaint is we were on the 3rd floor so it wasn’t convenient for dogs, but a beautiful view!

Heavily trafficked and not enough shade. A bit longer than the expected 2 miles. Not as scenic as I hoped. Saw a HUGE jackrabbit which was cool.

So quiet and peaceful, shady and cool. We loved this short 1.5 mile hike with the dogs.
