Great after a long car ride

Southern Oaks Inn

We booked this place last minute after traveling for hours on I-95 with our two 55 lb fur babies. We all loved it! The adult humans were able to grab a couple of adult beverages and the dogs were able to run and let loose of their energy in the nice large dog yard. The yard is fenced with great grass and large tree for shade. The room came equipped with a large dog bed and two collapsible bowls for food & water. A full hot breakfast bar was included with our stay. The chocolate chip pancakes were yummy. Another nice touch is that the drink machines are stocked with Lacroix water. The evening front desk staff were extremely nice at check-in and remember us in the morning. The restaurant staff were friendly as well. We will be back on next road trip to Florida!

A hidden gem!

Hotel Cashiers

We originally booked a VRBO in Sky Valley, but we arrived after a storm at 12:30am to find downed trees blocking the home entry way which made it difficult for our dogs. After The homeowner graciously released us from the booking, we began frantically looking for a pet friendly place with an open reservation. Although our intent was to experience Highlands, we are so glad we discovered Hotel Cashiers only a short drive from highlands. The lovely lady quickly got to work to make accommodations for our two dogs and an earlier check-in due to the stressful situation we had just came from. Although they typically allow one dog, we were able to pay an extra pet deposit.

While we waited for our room, we enjoyed browsing their boutique store within their lobby and purchased Prosecco to calm our nerves. The hotel check-in lobby is located in a small retail center below the actual hotel. The center has many restaurant options (zookeeper bistro, Chile Loco, slab town pizza, crossroads custard & cold brew). We enjoyed breakfast at Zookeeper bistro with outdoor seating for our dogs while waiting for the room. All of the restaurants were great and the custard was yummy. When we entered our room, there was a welcome kit with treats for the dogs. The property setting was very quiet & relaxing with picnic area, cornhole, fire pit and seating around the property.

It is also located next to the cashiers greenway ramble which was great for the dogs. The location was perfect and allowed us to conveniently explore many areas around us, including nearby waterfalls and an awesome dog park in cashiers. We will definitely return to this hotel! We also enjoyed lunch at the dog friendly Cornucopia in Cashiers and dinner at Oak Steak House in Highlands. Everyone we encountered were super nice.

Dog Friendly All The Way

Aloft Greenville Downtown

I will definitely stay at this place again in the future. It is very dog friendly, and even has adoptable local shelter pups in the lobby. I forgot my pup’s water bowl, so they provided one to me. Room was on 6th floor near the dog run. Room was pretty quiet and seemed to be somewhat sound proof as we couldn’t hear hallway traffic or neighboring room noises. The main sleep area is separated from the entry door by the bathroom area and wall, so it kept my dog from focusing on the doorway. Room was very clean with no odors. Glass shower allowed my dog to see me and stay comforted. Elevators are very quick, which is great for bathroom breaks. The ground level entrance sits in a retail & restaurant alley with many dog friendly outdoor dining options. Location is right off of Main St which has many retail, coffee and dining options
