My rescue dog's name is Trixie.

I appreciate that they allow big dogs so my dog and I can go on vacation together, but there was only one very small area of grass designated for dogs to use. My dog wouldn't go near it. There was a sign in that area that said other areas may have a harmful pesticide on it. Who knows if they did or not? And if they do spray pesticide, where else is a dog to walk around? On the hot asphalt? We went up the sidewalk to the grass out front next to the water catchment areas, but was wary of gators. There were big, moving bubbles in there. It was ok for my dog.
Only gave 4 stars, If your dog likes long walks, your only option is on the sidewalk close to the road. Just a reminder, dogs aren't allowed on the beach which was only .4 mile away. There were several other dogs, most were well behaved other than one small one that was a few doors down and barked in the morning.
The staff didn't go out of their way to welcome my dog or provide any treats, they were pretty much indifferent, even when I talked about her. Though that would have been nice, it is not necessary for my stay. The room was clean and spacious. There was a bit of mold in the ceiling crack where it met the wall in the shower. I didn't notice it until the night before we left. Breakfast was cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. The orange juice and apple juice were watered down. Nothing to write home about with this breakfast. Even with the negatives, I would stay here again as they weren't a big deal for us.

The dog park was fenced and had a shovel for cleanups. It could use more shade trees for the summer heat, but it was just right for our visit. The surrounding park had a nice trail, the people we passed were friendly and my dog enjoyed watching the ducks, going on a sniffaris and rolling in goose poop. I wish it was closer so we could visit more often.

Easy check-in, friendly desk clerk. Nice, clean room on 1st floor. Didn't hear any other dogs. Plenty of grass for dog to walk and poop bags and trash cans were available. Definitely recommend this location!

Easy and quick check in. Suitable grass areas for dogs to walk. Desk clerk remembered my name when checking out 3 days later. Clean rooms. I would stay here again.

The park was a bit small and as others mentioned there's a lot of sand in the large dog area that would be pretty muddy if it had rained. We did find the small Beach area which was just big enough for my dog to play in. There were two other dogs there at the time, both Unleashed at the small Beach area. They were friendly, but the one just kept pulling my dog's leash.
There is a lot of trash from the homeless people that you have to watch out for, and of course, the homeless people at the Pavilion. I was okay out there with my husband, but I wouldn't want to be alone. Everyone we met was nice, including the homeless, but it just made me a bit nervous.
We didn't find the dog wash station, but now that I've read the info again I know where it is. The trip was about 2 hours for us to get to the dog park, we wanted to visit our favorite restaurant. It's sad that as big as Florida is and as many beaches that it has, that there's only this one area up along the north end of the gulf for dogs to play. Unfortunately, my dog was too tired out from her first long trip and the play in the water to really play with any other dogs in the park, but I think she had a good time. I'd go back there again if I'm in the area.
