(P)Awesome Experience! 😁
St. Augustine Eco ToursMy husband and 2 dogs took the 9:30 am tour with Chris. He was very attentive and friendly throughout and SUPER knowledgeable ! We saw dolphin pods - manatees - and all kinds of birds. Our 2 dogs got a little worked up a couple times seeing the dolphins and birds - but it didn’t phase Chris at all. So much more enjoyable than those larger tours where they are scripted and go to all the same places . Chris explained they figure out the best places to go that day based on time of day and weather, etc. Highly recommend !
No Dog Fees!!
Aloft Jacksonville AirportNot sure why this is not the lead off for every review - they don’t charge an extra fee for your dogs!!!
As anyone that travels with pets knows - this can get expensive- so super happy to find this hotel chain!
As far as amenities and cleanliness- yes the rooms are modern decor - no frills - but completely fine. The room was clean - if you start looking in corners and crevices I’m sure you can find some lint -but I was comfortable. No free breakfast but I don’t care about that . Mini fridge in the room - good for keeping drinks and dog food.
Ideal location - the Riverside City Marketplace (huge shopping complex) is right across the street.
I would definitely stay again!!!
Go here instead of Seaside Heights
Bum Rogers CrabhouseWe were visiting for the day and originally tried Seaside Heights - definitely not dog friendly - we get turned away from several restaurants.
Drove a couple miles south to Seaside Park and found this great restaurant.
Super friendly staff - they bought our Quincy ice water on a hot day. The burgers and fried fish were cooked spot on - and we had a great time and felt very welcome with our dog!
Super fun with our Pup!
Three Brothers BoardsThanks to Dan who was a great guide and talked us through the process as this was our first time ever on paddle boards.
We brought our Jack Spaniel - Quincy - and he did great! The first half hour or so is getting your “sea-legs” on the board - and then off you go!
Again - I really appreciated Dan’s patience and encouragement throughout the whole process - it made me feel like I actually knew what I was doing! :)
Just to be real about the level of physical exertion required - you do have to use those arm and thigh muscles - but my husband and I are in our fifties and we were fine.
Quincy stayed on the board like a boss - he did jump in the water once to come see me on my board - but he seemed to enjoy the experience.
I highly recommend!!
Great stop for lunch!
Poe's TavernWe were traveling north from Orlando and we wanted a lunch/souvenir break - this one was perfect!
Really cool vibe in the restaurant- we sat on the patio with our dog until it started raining and they gave us a high top table right inside the door. People were very friendly to our dog and the food was very good. A good time was he by all!
