You and your pup can step back in time over 200 years by visiting the pet-friendly La Purisima Mission State Park in Lompoc, CA. Enjoy period demonstrations throughout the year as well as the 5-acre garden and nearly 25 acres of hiking trails. The surface of the trails varies from pavement, sand, and dirt. Keep your dog leashed during your visit and make sure to clean up after her. You'll also want to protect Fido from ticks, which are sometimes present. Beware that if you are leaving the trail you should watch for poison oak.
