We took our camper and 3 dogs to this state park for a week. It was amazing!! We were able to take our paddle boards out from the dog beach and have them off the leash and playing in the water. This place is wonderful to have the freedom you really want with your dogs and not be worried about offending everyone because the dog beach is completely fenced off and separated. Highly recommend this place!! It's our go to camping spot
explore the ENTIRE dog park…. it is AMAZING… so many areas to explore off the trail to play with your dog in secluded rock areas! THE BEST and worth the $15 to get into Cattail Cove!
this is an awesome little park. it’s fenced and separated from the rest of the park. i hate places that say they’re dog friendly but then the dog has to be on the leash the entire time. this is a place where they can play off-leash and run and swim. it’s a small waterfront area but my dogs loved jt.
We camped here last week with our dog. There is a nice trail that is dog friendly and the park is very clean. Dogs must be on a leash ( no longer than six feet at all times ( no tether ). We did not get charged extra to have our let with us.
This is a nice campsite with full hook ups, boat launch and trails. We struggled to find the "dog beach". Ended up hiking a mile before turning back. I believe it is literally to the left of the boat launch which is a little sketchy. It is very small and usable for roughly 1 dog at a time. Overall good experience and we would definitely camp here again!
Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed this park. Dog beach to the left of the boat launch. We parked in the overflow lot and had hot showers and a nice hike to the beach. Pretty secluded feeling in January. Very nice!!
We dug up 7 pictures of dogs at Cattail Cove State Park.

There’s a small dog rocky beach to the left of the boat ramp (very well marked with signage). Bring your water shoes. There are two picnic tables for the humans.
