Fort Mose Historic State Park
Dogs are welcome at the pet-friendly Fort Mose Historic State Park in St. Augustine, the original site of an 18th-century fort that was discovered on an archaeological dig. Although pooches aren't allowed inside the museum, Fort Mose's boardwalks are a great place for Fido to get much needed exercise. There's also a large area of open space behind the museum for your dog to enjoy. Make sure you keep your dog on a leash under six feet for the duration of their stay. Note that an entrance fee may apply.

Visitors to Fort Mose Historic State Park have mixed opinions about the experience, with some praising the beautiful grounds and trails while others found the recreation area small and the walking paths disappointingly brief. They note the park is dog-friendly, though some felt the facilities and limited attractions did not justify the visit or travel required to get there.
