Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park

Dogs are welcome to enjoy some of the trails at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. Unfortunately, they are not allowed to enter any of the buildings that commemorate the American composer, Stephen Foster, who wrote the song that made the Suwannee River famous, Old Folks at Home. Even though you can't check out the museum, you can still have a great day on the hiking trails that take in high river bluffs and limestone outcroppings, swamp forest, hammocks, and piney flatwoods alongside the Suwannee River. You might even spot wildlife along the trails, including gopher tortoise, box turtles, alligators, white-tailed deer, wood ducks, and a number of different types of bird. Visit Website
