When it is completed, this pet-friendly trail will span 120 miles from Breaks Interstate Park to Cumberland Gap National Historic Park. An ecological treasure, it offers visitors 42 miles of pristine hiking trails that weave around the varied and beautiful scenery of Kentucky. Pine Mountain State Scenic Trail is also a link in the the Great Eastern Trail, also known as GET, stretching from Alabama to New York over 1,800 miles through nine states. Pet owners are reminded to keep their dogs on a leash under six feet and to preserve the cleanliness of the pathway by cleaning up any mess that their pooch makes along the way.
