    Whiners

Come on guys.. A dog park is a place you take your dog to socialize while you relax... Some of you are so concerned with the wrong things... Like calling out stereotypes and complaining about gossip. WHAT!?! who are you? maybe you shouldn't leave the house. If your dog is nervous or aggressive then you need to figure out ways to acclimate your pet before bringing your dog to a dog park. It is NO ONE'S problem but your own.

    I avoid this park

I grew up in Wilton Manors and was excited when this dog park was created. Unfortunately, many locals with large dogs go here and let their dogs run around in the public part (not sectioned off for dogs) and I have had two bad experiences on two separate visits here with a large dog badgering my little dog and the owner not paying attention or wrangling their large dog. This dog is not well monitored by the city. If you have a nervous dog, or you are trying to socialize your dog, I would not go here first. There are separate areas for small and large dogs with water and little pools and agility equipment. However, I never go to this park anymore because it is hidden back behind mangroves and there are never city officials there to make sure the dogs are not just running around in the public parts.

    Don't Bother

Seriously Wilton Manors? You have to present a city dog "permit" to use this? Explains why there were only 3 dogs there on a beautiful Saturday morning. Agree that there are MUCH nicer FREE dog parks in the area. Epic Fail Wilton... Epic.

    nice enough

take a stroll over a boardwalk that runs through a mangrove swamp....hopefully you wont run into "lingering" men looking for a connection....most dog owners have been very nice....the designated fenced in areas for small and large dogs are a bit small...but good enough if not too crowded. the area also has a picnic area, volleyball and basket ball courts...which dog owners will use if no ranger is around to scoot them into the designated areas. park is a strange mix of dog owners, families and cruising gay men. there is talk of an upgrade to the dog park and there is a requited pass for residents and visitors which no one seems to abide by. so far we have met really nice people and dogs. if the town would patrol more often for the cruising and spruce it up a bit the cost of a pass would be justifiable.

    Great park

I found this dog park a wonderful adventure. To get to it, you walk on raised boardwalks over water through a beautiful area. There are two separate areas for large or small dogs, but most visitors seemed to be outside in the general park area which means large and small dogs can run together if you want. It felt safe and the visitors were quite friendly.

not a fun park at all

the wilton manors stereotypes just sit there gossiping and the dogs run wild all mixed together which can be trying for smaller dogs trying to get acclamated to other dogs. it's in full sun, it's very small, and the walk to get there is brutally hot and humid over the swampy water. there are MUCH better dog parks nearby that are free!
