LaPine State Park
LaPine State Park is a scenic dog-friendly area situated on the Upper Deschutes River in La Pine, OR. A quiet, shaded campground connects to over fourteen miles of multi-use trails. This centrally located park also provides access to Deschutes National Forest, Newberry Crater and Lava River Cave. Head to the "Big Tree" day-use area to marvel at Oregon's largest Ponderosa Pine tree which is thought to be 500 years old. Enjoy year-round camping or cozy up in one of five pet-friendly log cabins. A fenced, off-leash pet exercise area is a short walk from the campground. Visitors in winter can enjoy snowshoeing alongside Fido, while Spring and Fall are best for those hoping to see wildlife.
