This park is for on leash dogs, though I feel comfortable letting my dogs go off leash when we hike the trails at the back of the park. Some tips:
1. don’t let your pups in the ponds. the water is filthy and carries diseases from the waterfowl.
2. Very active rattlesnake area in summer due to lots of rabbits, especially on the trails.
3. This is a fair drive out of town - JennyMore than a year agonot a dog park
It is a park, but not for off leash dogs.

No signs except to clean up after your dog. Beautifully maintained. Virtually empty during early mornings - no indicators of prairie dogs except in fenced areas away from maintained & developed areas

City of Clovis will be using Rozol poisoning in park. I suggest you don't bring Fido. The poison is to kill Black Tail Prairie dogs who inhabit the park as well as Bison.

It was quite a drive from where we live in town, and I think the review that said it had a fenced area was meant for the other park in town, Hillcrest. We drove around for a while looking for anything fenced but it was just a lot of ponds and off roaders and people. I'm sure it's great for on-leash exploration but it wasn't what we were expecting based on the review!

The park is fairly small compared to others I’ve seen, but it is fenced completely and has several poop-bag receptacles. The sign says that they don’t allow non-neutered male dogs.

9/2011: very large park that was completely empty when we stopped by. They require leashed dogs but we let ours off and he had a good run. Not fenced. There is playground equipment and quite a few covered picnic tables. Only bad parts of the park were the duck pond that was pretty nasty - wouldnt let my dog drink it (he wasn't interested anyway) and there is no running water. The restrooms are permanent outhouse style.
