We were traveling across country from Phoenix & found this beautiful park through the app. We stopped for 10 minutes and our labs were running and chasing birds around the trees and so very happy! We couldn’t believe the size of the place with trees and a hill in the big dog area. I could see this place getting really muddy at times, as one reviewer noted, and also your digs can disappear behind the hill if you’re at the front of the big dog area/ but we thought the place was amazing! Our kiddo got to run too with the dogs before getting back in the car for another 5 hour drive. Note we stopped at 10am on a weekday, nobody was there. We didn’t pay or see signs or an option to pay, so I’m not sure after reading other reviews if this park is supposed to be for members only. Thankfully we got to use the park and we do pick up after our dogs. :) Thank you Huron OH for having us, lovely city.

This park is free. Usually a great group of dogs there. Nice open grassy areas.
- VivianSep 25, 2022Well maintained
Nice clean grassy park. Two shelters and some obstacles/agility equipment provide interest. Big open are where dogs can really play and run with each other
- SuzanneJun 25, 2022Very nice grassy park
There is no fee. The park is a nicely maintained grassy area with a separation for big and small dogs. You can also fill a kiddie swimming pool if your dog is inclined.

We took our dog to this park during our stay in Huron. There was a small a large dog area. Each area had a small kiddie pool for the pups. It's large enough to get the zoomies our of dogs. Adjacent to this dog park is the MetroPark with nice trails and fun things to do with the kids.
- Robert MoffettMore than a year agoNew shelter
The committee recommended putting the new shelter up on the hill so our pets can be easily watched no matter where they run to in the park while playing. The park officials oked the shelter location, but now have decided to put it where the dogs can not be seen more than about 100 feet, and it is located in a very muddy area of the park corner. I feel the park does not really care about our pets nor the paying pet owners who pay for the privilege to use the park. Sorry Park politicians, but you are as crooked as the politicians jn Congress and can lie just like they do also. You are a shame.

The park is a pay facility park just as buying access to state parks requires a permit. I have a large yard, but the Bark Park allows my dog to socialize with other dogs and people which is priceless to me. The permit helps to regulate dogs without proper shots and problem dogs from being allowed around my pet. Thanks.
- JodyMore than a year agoFor Members Only
This dogpark is actually private. You are NOT welcome to bring your dog without paying the $20 fee for EACH dog. And the office where you have to pay has very limited hours. Silly! We much prefer dogparks that are open to the public. We utilize them when we travel.
- CaseyMore than a year agoBig yard
At this current time the BarkPark is nothing more than an over-sized yard. There's no equipment for the dogs to run on or through, a few people bring treats for their dogs, which is against the rules but nothing happens. Also, this is a member only park, so if you haven't paid the annual fee there's no admittance for you. Since the have a monopoly on dog parks in the area (Metro parks has the ONLY one in the county) if you don't have a yard, can't go for walks and have NO other option, it's a decent place to basically "rent-a-yard".
