Independence Dam State Park
Independence Dam State Park is a dog-friendly destination in Defiance, OH. Nestled along the Maumee State Scenic River, the area offers water recreation opportunities along with a 3-mile dirt trail winding through lush hardwood forest and tracing the path of the historic Miami and Erie Canal. Seasonal primitive campsites and shaded picnic spots also invite relaxation along the riverside. Dogs are welcome throughout, but must be leashed and cleaned up after.
