Ellis County Wildlife Management Area
The pet-friendly Ellis County Wildlife Management Area spans 4,800 acres in Shattuck, OK, characterized by rolling sand hills and wooded creek bottomlands. Rich in mixed grass species and brush, it hosts Lake Vincent and intermittent streams, offering ample fishing spots. Six primitive camping areas are also available for overnight stays. Be mindful that dogs must remain on leash during your visit, and during deer hunting season, dogs are prohibited one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
