Fort Mandan State Historic Site
The pet-friendly Fort Mandan State Historic Site in Washburn, ND, is the reconstructed replica where Lewis and Clark wintered during 1804-1805. Leashed dogs are permitted inside the fort, in the museum by the fort, and on the pet-friendly grounds. Pets are prohibited from the Lewis and Clark Discovery Center. Note that an admission fee does apply.
