Bernal Heights Park

Bernal Heights Park is one of the largest dog-friendly recreational areas in San Francisco, CA, with plenty of room for on- or off-leash fun. The terrain is steep but scenic. Plastic bags are available at both entrances to the park, which can be found at the parking lot at the intersection of Folsom and Bernal Heights (north entrance) or where Bernal Heights dead ends (south entrance). Irresponsible Owners

Highly irresponsible owners leaving off leash dogs behind to get stalked by coyotes. Also, many off leash dogs are not under voice control. Not good.

    Great Workout And View

This is one of our local dog parks. There is one main trail up to the top, with many trails around the top. Good workout for dogs who like to play fetch as you can run them up and down.

Views at the top are great and it’s possible to spend 30/45 just going around the trails at the top.

Water fountain at the top, parking in two locations.

There are steep drop offs if you take certain trails but those are optional.
