Maplewood State Park
Maplewood State Park is a beautiful, dog-friendly recreation area in Pelican Rapids, MN. Make sure your pup doesn't mind sharing hiking trails, as the paths within this park are also used for horse riding. There's a trail up Hallaway Hill that will lead you to impressive overlooks and a picnic area. In total, 25 miles of hiking are available at this state park. Wildlife lovers will enjoy the vast displays of hepatica, yellow lady's slipper and prairie roses.
