Summit and Rhododendron Trails
The Summit and Rhododendron Trails in Jefferson, NC, are pet friendly. They're a moderately easy, 1.4 mile hike in Mount Jefferson State Natural Area that will take about 1 hour to complete with Fido. Visit this trail in early June and you will be surrounded by the splendor of the wildflowers and Catawba rhododendron blooming. The fall color here is also magnificent. Please note that dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
