Lake Avenue Dog Off-Leash Beach The beach access at Lake Avenue is now a permanent off-leash dog beach. The decision follows the conclusion of a two-year trial to determine the feasibility of the site for off-leash dogs. See Details

Botanical Beach Botanical Beach is found within Juan de Fuca Provincial Park. This section is a small forest hike to the beach. Dogs welcome on leash. Lots of tide pools but also nice beach area for pups and known to be much more dog friendly than neighbouring Botany Bay. See Details

West Lake Dog Beach

Prince George, BC

West Lake Dog Beach West Lake Provincial Park has a dog friendly beach at sites between the log house and the boat launch. Pets must be leashed when they aren't swimming, and you must pick up dog waste. Garbage cans provided. See Details

Sandy Beach

Bowen Island, BC

Sandy Beach Dogs are not allowed on Sandy Beach during the months of July and August. During the rest of the year, dogs are allowed on Sandy Beach as long as they are cleaned up after and on-leash. Sandy Beach is a rocky beach with some sandy areas. Public access is off of Senator Road. Dog owners should check swimming advisories and bacteria warnings in high season. See Details

Tunstall Bay Beach

Bowen Island, BC

Tunstall Bay Beach Dogs are not allowed on Tunstall Bay Beach during the months of July and August. During the rest of the year, dogs are allowed on Tunstall Bay Beach as long as they are cleaned up after and on-leash. Tunstall Bay Beach is a west-facing, rocky swimming beach. See Details

Purden Lake Dog Beach There is a huge dog beach west of the human beach at Purden Lake Provincial Park, located 45 minutes east of Prince George. Pets must be leashed when not swimming, and humans must dispose of dog waste in garbage cans provided. See Details

Salt Spring Beaches Salt Spring Beaches provides numerous opportunities for pet-friendly outings with your pup on Salt Spring Island, BC. Leashed dogs are permitted at Zach Beach, Hudson Point Beach, Jack Foster Beach East and certain Ruckle Provincial Park Beaches sections. However, please be aware that dogs are restricted from large areas within Ruckle Provincial Park. During the off-season, your furry friend is allowed off-leash at Hudson Point Beach. See Details

Dog Park Beach - Skaha Lake on Lakeside Road Dog Park Beach is a designated off-leash area for dogs along Lakeside Road in Penticton, BC. Located on Lakeside Road, 3km south of the Skaha Marina, this secluded spot allows pups to expend their energy and cool off in Skaha Lake. Owners should note that Lakeside Road is a busy highway alongside Dog Park Beach. This is an off-leash beach area but it is not fully enclosed so dogs should be supervised closely and under voice control. See Details
