This is possible the best trail in the park for hiking with your dog. Hike through the forest complete with Douglas fir, hemlock, cedar, alder, and bigleaf maple. For the best autumn views, you and Fido should hike the 6-mile Perimeter Trail from the North Falls Trailhead to Rackett Ridge, the highest point in Silver Falls State Park.
