The trail features historic points of interest along with breathtaking scenery. The self-guided tour takes about two-hours. Smaller trails lead down to the lake where dogs can frolic in the water near small beaches.

Dogs must be on a leash during their visit and aren't permitted in the grassy area of Dierkes Lake. There's a seasonal vehicle fee to enter the park.

Described as an easy trail to take at a casual pace on foot, leashed dogs are welcome to accompany you on this scenic 3 hour loop. The path winds past the Japanese Garden, a waterfall, and various shops & restaurants.

The park features two separate play areas, one for large, active and energetic dogs and another for smaller or leisurely dogs. Amenities include two water fountains, benches and a shade pergola. The water fountain is not in use during the winter months, so dog owners will need to bring along water for Fido. Please note that although the park is located next to an animal shelter, it's not operated by them.

Dog Beach Park is a pet-friendly sandy spot off Serenity Lee Trail in Sandpoint, ID. Dogs can run free in this beautiful beach setting! Doggie shower stations are provided by a private donor to rinse your dog before leaving the park. Don't forget to clean up any mess your pooch leaves behind and to make sure your dog is under control while running off-leash. The area is not fenced.
