Smaller trails lead down to the lake where dogs can frolic in the water near small beaches.

The park is dog friendly and features open green space, trails, picnic tables, grills, benches, restrooms, drinking fountains, a concession stand, a boat launch to Snake River, and, of course, Shoshone Falls with a 212-foot drop at a width of 900 feet. Dogs must be on a leash during their visit and aren't permitted in the grassy area of Dierkes Lake. There's a seasonal vehicle fee to enter the park.
