Leashed dogs are welcome at this lively event featuring over 40 food trucks and vendors offering everything from gourmet bites to sweet treats, along with dozens of artisans showcasing handmade jewelry, art, and crafts. With activities for all ages and a festive community atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to spend a fall weekend with family and friends. The event is scheduled for Friday from 1 PM until 9 PM, Saturday from 11 AM until 9 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM until 7 PM.

This dog-friendly fall and Oktoberfest celebration features seasonal brews, live bluegrass, traditional German food, local makers and family-friendly carnival games. The race is designed to be inclusive for all fitness levels, with no pressure to complete it within a set time. The event features designated time slots for all dogs to play, and one time slot for small dogs under 25 lbs only. Each pup is allowed to have a maximum of two people accompanying them and there's a limit of two dogs per person.

Mills River Presbyterian Church is partnering with Holy Family Episcopal and Bold Rock this year for their annual pet blessing. All pets are welcome to this service, which celebrates the life of both current and former pets. Pet food donations will be collected for MRPC Food Pantry.

Weather permitting, gather for the blessing on the Brenau lawn. Pets of all shapes and sizes are welcome with their owners of all faiths to participate in the service; however, appropriate restraint should be provided for all animals. Those who attend are invited to bring a donation for the Humane Society. In the event of rain, simply drive through Grace Church's covered driveway along Boulevard to receive a blessing!

Furry, feathered, and even scaly friends are welcome to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at this annual outdoor blessing. In celebration of this day, they’re collecting cat and dog food and other pet supplies for Blue Ridge Humane Society at all services on this day as well.

Furry, feathered, and scaly companions are invited to this special service in the Wilderness Chapel on the Trails of St. John in Flat Rock. All domestic animals are welcome to receive a blessing, or you may bring a stuffed animal or photo instead. The service honors the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and his legacy of peace and love for all creatures. In case of rain, the service will move indoors to the Parish Hall.
