Dog Events in Washington

The races take place during Kenmore Oktoberfest. Dachshunds are welcome to race in the main event, and mixed breeds are welcome in the Wiener Dog Wannabe Race. Two handlers are required for start and finish lines, and all handlers must be at least 18 years of age. A current rabies vaccination is required for all pups. Kenmore’s Oktoberfest brings Bavarian fun to the Pacific Northwest with a spirited mix of beer gardens, sing-alongs, and live music. Bring Fido to the Annual Wiener Dog Races (on September 20th), savor PNW and German brews, and join in family-friendly games like stein holding and pretzel tossing. It all kicks off with a traditional firkin keg tapping and wraps up with a pop-up market, root beer garden, and festival flair spread all across Kenmore’s Brew Row and public spaces. A Washington State Parks Discover Pass is required at the park. Purchase an annual pass ($35) or one-day pass ($11.50) on site. On the final day of Fremont Oktoberfest, leashed and friendly pups are invited to join the fun! This 21+ event offers beer tasting, stein hoisting, live music, and the vibrant, non-traditional outdoor Oktoberfest atmosphere that defines Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. Four-legged guests will be treated to a free doggie bandana, collapsible pet bowl, and waste bags while supplies last.

A three-day outdoor celebration for dogs and their people featuring disc dog competitions, flyball demos, AKC performance and title testing, costume and trick contests, live music, and a Sunday FIDO Fit Dog Walk. Leashes are required except while participating in specific activities.

Explore designated dog-friendly paths, meet amazing animals, snap adorable selfies, and share a memorable day at the zoo with your furry companion! All canine guests must be up to date on vaccinations and kept on a non-retractable leash no longer than six feet. Advance dog ticket purchase is required. No dog tickets will be sold at the gate and there's a limit of one dog per adult.

The dog park bar is throwing down Oktoberfest-style to celebrate more than a decade of dogs, beer and good times. The full yard will be open for off-leash play, and there will be a ball drop prize event and raffles!

Bring Fido along to this relaxed community‑oriented steampunk gathering that celebrates creativity and camaraderie. Enthusiasts can mingle at casual activities like a potluck barbecue, live music shindig, gear swap for trading or selling curios and costume pieces, and themed group photos with vintage machinery. Leashed dogs are welcome to downtown Issaquah for a weekend of live entertainment, a colorful parade, local vendors, food, DockDogs competitions and family-friendly activities. Guests can explore the festival, shop from local artisans and businesses, and enjoy the community celebration honoring the region's salmon heritage.

Dress your pup in his scariest, funniest or most adorable costume to win at this Halloween-themed event. Afterwards, at 2:00 PM, all Corgis are welcome to enter the Corgi Race in heats of three. Please note that two handlers are required to race.

This dog-friendly Halloween photo event invites pets of all kinds to dress up for festive portraits. Each pet receives two digital images delivered by email within a week, with optional discounted print packages available for purchase. No appointment is needed, and cats and other critters are welcome.

Enjoy arts and crafts, food, music, and of course, lots of fresh crab and seafood! Fido is welcome to join you in the outside areas, but isn't allowed inside the main tent - Crab Central - where crab dinners and other food are served.

Bring Fido for a run to kickstart the holiday season! Leashed dogs are welcome, and awards will be given to top-place finishers and medals for all finishers. The race kicks off at 10 AM. Please note there is no parking at Cookie Mill.

All friendly dogs are welcome at this Halloween celebration, themed "From Space, There Is Intelligent Life Out There!" Enjoy dog costume contests, a doggy spaceship contest, vendors, rescue dogs, food and more.

This annual event features a pet parade, costume contest, and photo booth featuring the Great Pumpkin. Registration opens at 1:00 PM, with the parade and judging beginning at 1:30 PM, awarding prizes in Spookiest, Funniest, Most Creative, Best Group, and Best in Show categories. Guests are encouraged to bring pet food donations for the Ballard Food Bank.

Leashed dogs are welcome at the pumpkin field during this fall festival. Pet parents can also enjoy beer and wine, on-site pumpkin donuts and live music.
