  Stay away

  However, the room was terrible for the price. The carpet was stained really bad, it smelled, the upholstered chair had the arms chewed or scratched up. Just nasty. I had to move a table by the bed to plug in a C-Pap machine, it was so filthy behind it. There were spots on the floor that my dog would not walk over, she would walk around them, so what were the stains? The lobby was very nice, we left before breakfast, so I don’t know about that. People working there were great, but I would never stay there again.

  Horrible run down property

  My room was literally in shambles. The carpet was stained with urine and smelled like it. The chair had been chewed on both arms and the furniture was broken and falling apart. Definitely would never stay there again. There were no accommodations for pets, just the worst rooms in the hotel and run down furnishings.

  We had a very nice overnight stay here. There is a nice green space to walk your dog and restaurants are within walking distance. Everyone was nice.

  Convenient and adequate

  The lodging and restaurant industries are sorely challenged so I will not be harsh. Everyone was super friendly, cheerful and kind. The room could have been cleaner but we managed. A good breakfast. Moody, our Visla/lab mix, loved it. That’s all that mattered.

  They were fine with my dog great sleeping conditions. The only thing I had wrong is someone yelled at my mother for having him close to the kitchen; not in the kitchen but close to it. Overall had a nice stay but the pool was closed.

  Great location

  The hotel was in a great location with a Cracker Barrel restaurant right next door. Nice side exit. Comfortable, but the carpet was filthy. There was dog urine spots especially at the corners of the bed.

  Great location and friendly staff. I would have given a higher rating, but even though the hotel and our room were clean, the floor in our room had a few large stains.

  Country Inn and Suites Orangeburg

  Checked in. Took luggage to the room. Did not come across as being exceptionally clean. Went to park car. Came back and wife tells me she found a dead bug on her pillow. As we were sitting there, we saw a large bug crawling up the wall and go behind the bed headboard. Called front desk. They offered to send somebody to the room. We said no thanks and we packed up and left.

  Very nice!

  The hotel was very clean and we felt really welcomed at the front desk. We had a second floor room, (we booked on the same day very late at night) but it was no problem at all. Just a quick jaunt to the elevator and then outside to a very well landscaped area. Directly across the parking lot was a nice big green space that was well lit, and I felt safe taking our dog out. The beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet. Great stay.

  Easy on and off the expressway

  Very clean and comfortable! Hot breakfast. Plenty of space to walk the dog. Wonderful staff. Would definitely recommend it. I would stay again.

  Super friendly

  Very nice and clean. Conveniently located with restaurants nearby. Staff was great. Nice touches with the chocolate chip cookies. Breakfast area was great, with a large selection. Definitely will stay again!

  Nice friendly staff. Easy access to get our dog in and out. A few restaurants surrounded the hotel allowing us to walk to pick something up.

  We will be back!

  The rooms were clean, didn't have pet smells and the beds were comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was really nice and bright, nice for putting on makeup so you didn’t look like Tammy Faye Baker for those old enough to remember. The staff was friendly and Wanda at the front desk/check-in was very pleasant and handled a onslaught of phone calls and people coming to check in rather well. There are plenty of places to walk your pets. Trees and grass at every turn. Parking was easy and spaces adequate for size of hotel. There are plenty of places to eat fast food wise and a few dining in places. There is a Cracker Barrel literally next door and a BBQ place up the road. Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, McDonald’s and Burger King are all there too. So far this is the hotel of our choice to stay while we travel back and forth several times a year. Getting on Interstate 26 is a snap!

  Perfect

  The location was perfect for our needs. The perfect distance to call it a day on our drive from Pennsylvania. The perfect room location close to the exit door for my pet and could see my car in the parking lot. The room was perfectly chilled when we arrived. Shell was very nice and told me all about the rewards club. We had a great night's sleep.

  My room was clean and comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave in the room, plenty of choices for breakfast and very friendly staff. Convenient location and a quick walk to Cracker Barrel for supper. Will definitely stay again.

  Ok location

  When you first entered in the building you’re greeted to a musty smell. Checking in went smoothly and Octavia was extremely kind. Upon entering our room there was a white pill sitting on the bed, a weird spot on the comforter, and the sheets were extremely worn and had lent balls on it. I thought it was bed bugs at first. There was also mascara on one of the pillows and the bed was extremely hard. The plumbing in the shower felt like it was going to come out the wall, however the water pressure was great! Our dogs were comfortable but they will charge you an additional $25.00 per each animal.

  Booked a 1 bedroom suite with a sofa bed from your site. Upon arrival hotel stated pets not allowed in suites and had to get a regular room. Would not refund difference in price from suite to regular room and was very uncomfortable as not enough sleeping room without the sofa bed. Very disappointed.

  Comfortable but needs updating

  The location was convenient just off the Interstate and gas stations and restaurants plentiful. (Cracker Barrel next door). Lobby is nice and Octavia (front desk) greeted us graciously. My 7 year old Lab and I were given a first floor room ( King bed) unfortunately the carpet from the lobby down the hall and into the room ( also upstairs) was worn and stained -- not an attractive first impression. The linens on the bed looked dingy, but the bathroom was well lit and clean. The green area ( for dogs) is a bit limited but there is a sidewalk and other green space surrounding the location. A little updating would go far!

  Everything was great!

  There were some cheaper places in the vicinity so we debated but we were so glad we chose Country Inn. The staff were terrific and there were lots of places to take puppy to walk around the various hotels on the street. We’ll stay there again on our travels!

  This hotel is easy access off the highway, has plenty of lighted area to walk your dog, restaurants in walking distance. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! The rooms are clean and comfortable.

  Great location and room

  Located right off the highway, nice clean room, very quiet and good food options nearby. We went to a nearby Sonic and did the drive-in so we could eat and still have our pooch in the car with us. They also had a great hot breakfast and friendly helpful staff. They went on our list of places we would like to stay again. Highly recommend as a place to stay with your dog!

  Still A Pretty Nice Place, BUT....

  Third time we've stayed here, still a decent place with minor problems (one time the air conditioner didn't work, this time the inside handle to the room door fell off each time we used it), and third time in a row with check-in problems: first two times, the hotel had no record that we had requested a pet friendly room (so much for BringFido's vaunted "canine concierge"), this time they did but had no record that we'd paid for the room in advance through BringFido. After 20 minutes at the front desk and showing the desk clerk an email indicating that we'd paid, we were allowed to get a room,although that took some convincing before she'd allow us to do so.

  The supply of pet-friendly motels in the region is limited and the facilities are pretty good despite the small glitches, but don't expect everything to go smoothly.

  Still Going Downhill

  Last time I stayed, the pet room I was assigned was the same one. A few things in that room were fixed since then (eg ripped curtains) but this hotel still seems tired and worn out. It doesn't have to be the Ritz but it also isn't the cheapest in the area either! Now, there are doors that don't close properly (at the "pet end") My own door took so long to close that if I were to walk away and let it close on its own, someone would surely be able to get in! Went to fill dog's water bottle in lobby bathroom...both taps out of order and disconnected. The staff are as pleasant as ever, the one good point, but I've stayed in a few from this chain and this is now by far the worst overall for maintenance!

  Location, Service, Value - UPDATE

  This was a great spot. Close to the interstate but tucked away that you didn’t hear traffic. Places to eat and gas right there. Hot coffee, cookies and lemonade available when you check in and throughout the day. Staff was super friendly and there is an outdoor gas fire pit . Plenty of grassy areas to walk the fur baby. Will stay here again.
  Stay #2 room was not good, carpet on 2nd floor is bad- our room was dirty, floor was dirty and worn. The couch / chair were stained. Hairs in the shower. No tissues ... coffee was very weak - we left and went to McDonald’s to get a better cup of coffee. Will definitely NOT stay again.

  Nice Stop

  Convenient stop off Route 26 while heading south. Very comfortable accommodations. Bigger than average room was clean and comfortable. Good location with dining options within walking distance. Ample grass for dog business.
