ALWAYS Issues

The toilet kept running each time it was flushed which I had to fix. The TV would not work; went downstairs, they gave me another remote, still didn't work. Went back downstairs and they screwed around with batteries, which didn't seem to be the problem because it worked for the TV downstairs. They came up to our room and changed the plug from one socket in the outlet to the other.

Apparently, that is the often the problem with the TV but they have no clue as to why. Next night, TV didn't work again but I fiddled with the power strip switch and the plug and got it to work myself. And then there was the key card that took forever to work and then it didn't. We were told you can't have the key card next to a watch or your phone or it messes it up, but the key was in my purse, in a separate compartment not even close to my phone.

This place is pet friendly so that's why we stay here, but it turns out the Hampton Inn, which is in the same area, is also pet friendly so I think we will be trying that on our next visit to DeLand. Every time we stay here there is problems. Last time they had no food left for breakfast at 9am, even though breakfast is till 10am. They didn't have a lot of choices this time around either.

Love this place!

Beautiful rooms, and while we have never eaten at the restaurant, we have visited the bar many times and it's great! Mac and Robin, the bartenders we had the pleasure of being served by on two different nights are the BEST!!! Friendly, knowledgeable about the surroundings and just super nice people, as are the "regular's" who visit the bar often. Old City House has become our go to place to stay when we visit St. Augustine. Great location, too! Walkable to everywhere downtown.
