Service dog

I had brunch here recently with my service dog. As soon as I walked in the hostess asked me if my dog was a service animal. He had his vest on and I said yes. She kindly found a table for us which allowed for my service dog to have a bit more room.

They offered to bring water for him, and they did not distract him.

What I appreciate more is that the hostess did not ask me to provide any documents “proving,” he is a service dog. While it is not required to show a card/paperwork to enter with a service dog, businesses try it. I have even been denied service from some restaurants until I showed them my card for my animal, which is illegal. This restaurant did not and they were quite pleasant.
