Very Pet Friendly

The Super 8 in Rolla treated us and our pets very well. We brought our small dog and cat and both enjoyed their stay. The room was clean and neat, though it appeared they may use their older bedding in pet rooms. The blanket and bedspread were stained and a bit worrisome. The sheets were better but still pretty worn. It was in the high 90's so we just used the sheets. Fortunately, but not always a given in these types of places with an AC unit in each room, the cooling worked very well. The grassy areas had kinda tall grass that our small dog didn't like, it tickles her tummy. It was also pretty small and was awfully full, if you know what I mean.

We did find another spot nearby that wasn't quite as well used and Fido was happy with that. They were mowing it when we left which likely addressed both issues. The staff was "super" the breakfast was good, though standard eggs, sausage and make-your-own waffles. The coffee was excellent and plentiful. The place is just off I-44 and there is some traffic noise when outside. Our dog was apparently traumatized by truck noises when she was younger and the noises from the highway was her only concern. Other than the bedding that my wife felt was a bit sketchy, I was very pleased. Our cat, of course, "owned" the place and seemed very pleased. We all agree that on subsequent visits to Rolla, this would be a good place to look for a room.
