Excellent Hotel

Everyone on staff here; literally everyone from the check-in clerk to the housekeeping staff was outgoing, friendly, and charming. And not one of them was put off my seeing me come in with two Huskies. They were exuberant about meeting the Huskies. The only downside for me about this location was that the outdoor dog-dedicated walking area was smallish, but we walked around the whole property and the adjacent street.

Everything Done Right

My wife and I stayed at the Long Barn Lodge in one of their cabins, as our last stop on a nine-day trek, and I have to tell you this was our favorite of the six places we stayed on our vacation. All the people who run and staff the lodge were wonderful, and they were all smiling as I led our two full-grown Huskies out of the car. These folks don't just accommodate dogs -- they love them.

And the location was amazing! This property includes a giant swimming pool, a skating rink, fire pits, and they mentioned they hope to add a dining facility as well. Kyra and Cody couldn't get enough of the area, and as you could imagine, they love the outdoors and long walks.

The cabins included a full kitchen with plenty of gear, a very comfortable bed, and all the comforts of home. My wife, the Huskies and I can't wait for our next stay here, and next time, instead of staying at six different places in nine days, we're going to be staying here the full time, for at least a week of rest, relaxation, and getting away from it all.
