Quaint Cozy Room
Carmel Fireplace InnClean, bed was okay. Nothing to write home about. Dated motel. No water pressure. Very quiet. Good for a single night.
Great stay!
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Paso Robles an IHG HotelThe staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well furnished. Breakfast was great!
Amazing!
Sunset Oceanfront LodgingThe views! Our pup loved walking on the beach leash free! She got the zoomies” many times! We love beach walks and for her to have such Freedom warms our hearts! The rooms and property are well maintained and the staff welcoming! So close to “Old Town” and the waterfront area. Can’t wait to return!
Great Location
Guesthouse Inn & Suites PoulsboTowels were old and small. Shower was great, the breakfast was good. Close to town area. Room was clean.
Unsafe location
La Quinta by Wyndham Grants PassAlthough the room was okay the element was terrible! We did not feel safe from time to time. Coming and going to our room we were always afraid of the homeless people in the parking lot. It appears that the staff allow the homeless to come into the rooms to shower, etc. We were near the side entry and one guy was camped out there when we returned from dinner. He followed us up to our car and we felt cornered and had to tell him to go away. We saw the homeless people (several) coming and going with their clothing and going into the room across from us then leaving with wet hair back to their broken down cars and RV’s! Very concerning! The staff tried to make us feel bad for mentioning it at the front desk.
Great location
Best Western Arcata InnBut the price is high for what we get in bigger cities. Sorry but that’s my only gripe. Otherwise the room was great but the mattress needs an upgrade. Not bad but not great.
Clean room
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berkeley MarinaQuiet and spacious and we were next to the elevator!! So pleasantly surprised!
Hotel Shattuck Plaza
Hotel Shattuck PlazaCheck in on the first night was easy, the bellman was very polite and even saved us a parking spot right in front of the building. We spent the next full day with family away from the hotel. When we arrived back to our room we noticed it had not been cleaned. No big deal! When I called downstairs to request some clean towels I received a very snarky response. 1. I was told that they no longer clean rooms. (Okay again not a big deal but wish they had told us this at check in). 2. I was told that the hotel has no clean towels. I was a bit shocked and just replied, “Really?”. Again the snarky remark, “ I can’t help you! You can just talk to a manager in the morning!”
At this point, although I truly could have given this woman a piece of my mind, I just said, “thank you” and hung up. 30 minutes later the bellman from the night before brought us one (1) set of towels. 3. Next evening, there was a sign on the elevator that said “out of order”. I chose the other elevator but once inside it would not respond. I went to the front desk to ask if it was out of order also. That is when I “met” Ms. Snarky! Let’s just say another guest was standing there when she replied to me “there is nothing wrong with that one, just try it again!” Again delivered in a very rude tone.” The other guest looked at me and I at her. We both realized how rude the front desk person was. Bellman = 10 bones. Ms. Snarky ruined the 5 bones that I would have given all because of her nasty rude attitude.
