First Time for Everything

When we arrived the host said a table had just cleared and seated us right away. Super cute setting: under a tree with a view of the street. About two minutes later, he came over and told us “we had to get up because there was a wait list.” He said he could put us on the wait list. There are only two dog friendly tables, and as both were now occupied we opted to leave. We’ve never been seated at a restaurant and then get asked to leave the table. Not a pleasant experience. People were already talking to us about our dog, and then we were asked to leave. The people who were waiting for the table looked at us like we had “stolen” their table.
