Best Pup Vacation Ever!

Tenaya at Yosemite

Where do we begin? Oh I know, upon entering the lodge the pups were welcome up their own stairs to the front desk for their dog bones and welcome package. We stayed in one of the cabins, which I highly recommend, and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Later that day we found gifts of a dog bed, dog bowl, doggie bags, and more treats. We were welcome to dine with our pups inside or out for every meal. They were welcomed in the lodge our our puppy actually wined when we had to leave the lobby for dinner because so many people were paying attention to him.

And the cherry on the cake? They have pup sitting! Yosemite is stunning and there are lots of paved trails, but the idea that you can leave your pups in good hands while you hike, or go to the pool or enjoy the spa is just amazing! We cannot imagine what else they could have done to make us feel so welcome and part of their family! This will be our only dog friendly destination hotel in Yosemite for a very long time!

Quality of Stay

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Carlsbad - Legoland Area

For a location that allows dogs, this was just adequate. We found the hotel to be quite old and not very clean. Location was fine, but the hotel itself was pretty tired. We have stayed in other La Quinta's with our dogs and this was definitely not to the same caliber. Would not stay here again.
