Cockroaches, catalytic converter stolen

Hyatt Place Dallas/Park Central

What a bust. Do not stay here with or without pets. I stayed here for a family reunion because it was HYATT and between the two events. No pet relief area, broken elevators, carpets so fifthly that you’ll need to put towels on the floor. You walk in and the lobby has stained furniture, okay, just check in and go to the room. I found cockroaches in bathtub. Okay, flushed them. The carpet was so dirty that I had to put towels on floor. I thought, I’m going to be at an event and will only sleep here, how bad can it get?

Second night, catalytic converter was stolen off my rental car in the guest parking area. They don’t tell you when checking in that the security isn’t working and there is no surveillance. In fact, they’re changing ownership and not much is working. The hotel would not write up an incident report because supposedly they were remodeling and transferring owners, therefore during translation there is no security, none nada; no security footage, no gates work, including most outside doors. The new owners or pending owners don’t want complaints! The manager suggested I call the non emergency policy number with an eye roll.

I spent 55-minutes with Alamo making out an incident report. I get back to the hotel later that night thinking what can they steal now? Next morning, no hot water, this is not what you expect from HYATT. This place is a train wreck. Don't stay here. Run in the opposite direction.

Not a doggie hotel

Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport

Okay, first the hotel and staff are lovely. However, being tolerant of dogs and dog friendly are different. What do I mean? There is no pet relief area and the park next door does not allow dogs. So, unless your dog can relieve themselves on pavement in the street or public flower beds (NOT), this is a difficult place for pets. The room we were assign was lovely and very very furthest from the elevator and on the fourth floor. It’s much easier if you're on ground floor, near stairs or elevator with pets. I would not stay here again with pets. 2 bones because the hotel and staff are lovely.

Three large dogs

Best Western John Day Inn

They accommodated our three well behaved large dogs in a ground-floor king suite. They have a smaller pet relief area next to pool. For vacationers it would of been nicer if the lawn and pet relief were in a different areas. The carpet was a bit dirty but what do you expect in doggie room? I did let front desk know and they said they’d inspect and clean as needed. All in all, good experience.
