Great Room
Red Roof Inn Locust GroveCheck in went smoothly (although a bit slow since one girl was training). The front desk girls were friendly and helpful. The room was updated with nice large glass enclosed shower. The room also had a refrigerator so I was able to put the items from my travel cooler in refrigeration overnight. Dog walk in back was small, but sufficient and supplied with poop bags. I would definitely stay here again while traveling I75.

Dirty Room
Travelodge by Wyndham FayettevilleI am giving this motel 2 bones only because the front desk gal was super friendly and accommodating. I believe her name was Susie? I hope I remembered correctly because she deserves some praise. I was placed in a handicapped room because it was all that was left on a very busy holiday travel night. The reason I mention this is because the room was not carpeted so not sure if this was due to it being a handicapped room or if all rooms are not carpeted. That being said, the floors were dirty especially under the beds. Clearly they never clean under the beds because there were dust bunnies galore, a hanger, eyeglass case and other trash there. The bathroom appeared clean, but the towels were thin and very rough. They could use some fabric softener or better yet nice new towels. They do have a coin washer and dryer on site, but there were a couple of women there doing laundry who didn’t appear to be hotel guests. They have vending machines which is nice after a long drive and late night, but the ice bucket in my room was broken and in need of replacement. There is a nice area to walk dogs, but my dog came in smelling of sewage after walking in the back dog walk area. It had been raining all day so I’m wondering if there was sewage run off into that area. Not a pleasant thing to deal with late at night during travel. I had no dog shampoo with me to wash the smell off my dog. The rooms all face outside so my dog could hear every person walking by and car doors so she growled all night. Needless to say I didn’t get much sleep. I would not recommend this motel unless there is nothing else available which was my case that night.
