It started out well….

Aqua Bar

When I first arrived, my blue nose pit bull was treated kindly by the gentlemen at the oyster bar when you first walk in the outside area. Granted, it was a hot day, but my dog was used to that. When I sat down, I filled my own bowl that I brought with water. When I saw the bus boy, I gave him a nice tip and asked him if he would fill her bowl with ice water when it gets low. He told me he would have done it anyway, it was one of the favorite parts of his job.

That’s when things went awry. My dog had always been a heavy panter compared to other dogs. Her vet says that’s how her body works. No big deal. My dog was sitting under the table the entire time which also had an umbrella above while she was properly getting her water.

As I was finishing my meal, a rude man walked up to me in a very aggressive tone. He said he was worried that my dog was dehydrated and that I should leave. There was another dog there, but he singled me out. Although he was a customer and not an employee, he still chased me away while cursing at me.

The staff did NOTHING. They just watched as one if their customers, who was more than courteous and tipping well, get verbally abused by another customer.

My dog was more than fine. We actually spent another hour exploring Provincetown. She’s fine in the heat and did well that day as well. There were many dogs walking the streets that day.

I am still in utter shock that this happened. I can’t believe Aqua Bar employees would stand there and do nothing. Worse yet, let someone curse you a storm very loudly. There were even kids there.

I will never go again and will never recommend.
