Patio was closed
Pack's TavernI was really looking forward to going here after we read all the reviews. We had just driven 500 miles and were looking for a dog friendly place in downtown Asheville. I called ahead to make sure the patio was open. I got a recording but there was an option to pick if you needed to talk to someone. I picked that option but nobody answered. So we drove there and parked only to find out that the patio was closed due to a private event. I am submitting this review to see if there is some language that can be added that says when the patio is open or closed so others don’t run into the same problem.
Great place!
Wicked Weed BrewingWe really enjoyed our time here. We were looking for an outdoor place with heaters since it was chilly out. First of all, somebody answered the phone right away when I called which is a plus. The service was friendly. The selection of food was different and good. We ordered the pub burger and kimche chicken sandwich. Both were good and came with a huge portion (actually too big since we couldn’t eat all of them) of homemade chips. The chips were delicious. The atmosphere was great too because the patio was filled with a bunch of people who were either smiling or laughing. Can’t beat that!
Great stay
La Quinta by Wyndham JoplinWe needed a room just to sleep to break up our drive. We were only there 12 hours. The service was friendly. The room was clean and easily accessible to the outside for our dog. Coffee and breakfast were available early in the morning so we could get on the road early. What I appreciated most was that there was an accidental double charge on the room which appeared to be a technical glitch at the time of booking, and they refunded this when they found out. We would stay here again.
Nice sized dog park
Bark ParkWe were looking for a park off highway 70 for our dog to run a little while we were traveling. This definitively fit the bill. It was a little hard to find with the “do not enter” and “dead end” signs but we could see it so we rerouted ourselves from the original directions. It was worth the trip.
Great Hotel and Service
Hampton Inn & Suites Lake PlacidThis hotel was absolutely perfect! Not only is it a beautiful hotel at a beautiful location right on Mirror Lake, it is very dog friendly. Be sure to request a lake view room with a balcony to get the best experience. The cost was more than we usually spend but it was worth every penny. The staff at the front desk were all friendly, especially Tiana, who went out of her way to communicate with us and give special attention to our mini golden doodle named Feris. We would definitely go back here.
