Stay away

I will start with the positives: The attendant was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and there is a dog park and other amenities nearby. That's the end of the positives, unfortunately. When I walked into the first room I was given, I was smacked in the face with the smell of cat urine. So much so that my throat was burning from the ammonia. I realize that sometimes pet smells come with pet friendly rooms, but this was truly unbearable. I went to the front desk to see if I could get a refund, but she moved me what she said was the last pet friendly room.

Upon entering the second room, it definitely was better. It didn't smell, but it certainly wasn't clean. There were wrappers on the floor, a pet wet food can, and some other miscellaneous items. Truthfully, I didn't even shower there because I was so uncomfortable. There were several times where I considered sleeping in my car with my dogs at the Walmart across the street, but I didn't have enough cold weather gear to keep us all warm through the night. I stayed there for about 4 hours before deciding to just continue my drive to Idaho. It does look like they are starting to renovate some rooms, but honestly, just put the $60 towards a better hotel if you want a good night's sleep.

One of the better ones

I end up staying at a lot of Super 8's because they are usually pet friendly towards large dogs, and out of the ones I have stayed in, this is one of the nicer ones. The carpet was clean and didn't have any mystery stains like you sometimes find in older motels. The staff was friendly and it was an affordable option for large dogs in the area. Overall, I would stay there again if passing through. Bonus points for it being 6 miles away from a very nice dog park.

Pet friendly, but with limits

Overall, it is a Super 8 and you get what you pay for. Nothing terrible, just not great. I chose to stay here because Super 8 doesn't usually have a pet limit (I have 2 large dogs) and they don't charge pet fees, however, this one had both. The clerk was a saint and let us stay despite the fact I had 2 dogs after driving 15 hours and arriving at midnight. Leaving review so others don't find out the hard way like I did.
