Loud and no nearby pee areas

Hotel 10

Hotel is on a loud, busy street and above a nightclub, and the windows do not shut all the way, so it is extremely loud 24/7 with motorcycles, big trucks and street cleaners, booming music and yelling humans. It was very stressful.

The sidewalks were not clear; they were full of knocked down trash cans, and so much construction. They put little ramp bridges on pipes and cords for construction on the sidewalks, but they're grates, and pup did not like walking on them. Smaller dogs would have extreme difficulty then having to jump over the pipes.

Nightmare, stayed less than 10 hours before it became unbearable, so we wasted a couple hundred on the additional nights we didn't stay. Bummer, but it was way too stressful for our dog, who is usually fine in big cities like DC and Boston which we've stayed in recently, in busy neighborhoods of those cities, too.

Also, there are no immediate green spaces for pups to do business. Nearby green areas are fenced off, with no doggy business signs. Even though it's technically dog friendly in that they accept dogs, it is not a friendly environment for dogs and it is very stressful for dogs.

Great location for stress free doggy stay

Kimpton Marlowe Hotel an IHG Hotel

The room was warm and inviting. There was carpet which made walking easy for the pups. There's a bench at the end of the bed that offers a step into the bed. Also a nice comfy chair that the dogs loved. The room was quiet and clean, and had a nice view for pups to look out of with floor to ceiling windows, but also great curtains to block out light when needed.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. There is a park right next door, so potty breaks were a breeze. And then there were other nearby green areas that were great for walking. Nice sidewalks. Dog waste receptacles and garbage all around. Friendly people and neighborhood dogs. Really nice and relaxing stay for humans and dogs.

5 bones out of 5 and 2 paws up for sure! Actually 4 paws, since we had 2 dogs with us. Loved that no weight or breed discrimination, and that we were able to leave the dogs unattended loose in the room, since that was very calming for them. Very well done hotel that understands doggos.
