Just okay. Not Super Dog Friendly But They Do ALLOW Small Dogs.
Carlsbad by the Sea HotelHonestly my whole experience was okay, but the check in was rough. I booked the three day reservation the same day wanting a quick New Years adventure trip. Booking online I wasn’t aware you should call ahead to say you have a dog. Rather than just letting me know to call in the future, the lady that checked me in kept repeating “You should have let us know sooner you had a pet we have rules and I don’t have a nice room for you” and said she would only give me a handicapped room without a tub, again because I hadn’t informed them. I apologized for not calling after booking online, but she seemed very annoyed with me. They have special rooms for dogs and they are not very nice just basic. Nowhere to walk your dog, no bags or bowls for water, it was just okay. I wouldn’t stay here again but for the rest of my stay I didn’t have any issues. I will say Carlsbad blvd is 2 mins away and you can get to the beach in 5 minutes and there are tons of restaurants at Carlsbad village which is about 15 mins away if you take the beach view streets, which I always do.

Great Experience!
Gregorio'sFirst of all - the food is amazing. I came here with my lab on a rainy day and the staff was so fast and helpful and without me asking, they turned on the outside heaters. I
