No sound proofing at all
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham PuebloThe staff was friendly and it was technically clean. But, there was a strong cigarette smell, even in the non smoking section. The walls were really thin. We were surrounded by a child running around upstairs, the room to our left had their tv on really loud, the room on the right had a dog who kept barking (setting off our dogs), and a baby across the hall crying. It was pretty miserable. Absolutely no one picked up after their dogs so there was poop everywhere outside.
Very nice, great breakfast
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Los Alamos an IHG HotelComfortable and clear. Very quiet. I was extremely excited that they had blueberry bagels at breakfast. They’re very hard to find outside of New England. We actually ended up extending our stay because it was so comfortable.
A great stay
Comfort SuitesWell maintained and clean. Good location (Abby Alley Coffee Co. was close and they have a great latte). After having a terrible night in a moldy hotel, I was glad to be somewhere clean. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but I did sleep well. However, unlike other pet friendly places, there was no shield to prevent pets from crawling under the bed. I had to move the bed in the morning to fish out my cat.
Really nice place in a great town
Sun and Ski Inn & SuitesThis was a great place to stay. Comfortable and quality room. The view from the window was great. Bowling alley downstairs looked fun, though we did not partake. The restaurant there was pretty decent, though the selection was limited due to short staffing, a common issue now. Definitely recommend both the hotel and Stowe.
BLACK MOLD
Red Roof Inn FultonThis place is disgusting. Sticky floors, funky smells, and BLACK MOLD growing in the bathroom. We got into town super late with pets in the pouring rain and had no choice but to stay. I’ve never cleared out of a hotel room so fast in my life. When we informed the person at the desk that there was mold in the bathroom they brushed it off saying they “don’t know anything about that.” Also, the side exterior doors don’t require a key card to open them so literally anyone can wander into the hotel at any time.
Best hotel so far
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham ClarionThis was definitely the nicest place I’ve stayed at so far. After a truly horrible night in a disgusting Red Roof Inn, this was an oasis. Almost brand new, clean, and quality. Nice sized room, pet friendly, and very comfortable bed. The breakfast selection was great. My pets didn’t want to leave in the morning. Couldn’t recommend more.
What a great place
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham PortlandThe pet friendly rooms are all on the ground floor with private sliding glass doors to the dog relief area outside (which was large and clean). The room was comfortable and very sound proof. I know people were in the rooms next door but all I heard of them was their water pump when they turned the shower on (and that was muffled too). Traveling with three pets, one of whom is a cat, makes it hard to find accommodations. This place was a gem. I’ll be remembering it in the future when I come back to visit family.
