Don't even consider it

First of all, they tried to charge double the pet fee. Secondly, the key card did not work on the door closest to our room (even after informing the front desk twice) and we had the walk the dogs around the building to the front door every time they needed to go out. The room was not clean. We killed three wasps which were coming out of poorly remodeled pot lights. The sheets and towels were stained. The blanket had holes in it. Luckily, we had requested two queen beds, as one of the beds had bugs and hairs when we pulled down the covers. We requested a different room but were told they had no other rooms available. We were also informed that we could not receive a refund since we did not cancel the reservation in a timely manner. The rooms were not well insulated and we heard noises throughout the night. We were only in town for one night for a funeral and it was too late to find another hotel. We had never stayed at a Microtel location before and will never consider another one.
