Tired Property Has Seen Better Days
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Amarillo I-40 West TXBasically, I do not recommend this hotel. I will start with the good though which is a secure and well-lit parking lot. This is an excellent place to stay if you tow a trailer, Uhaul, or camper because the hotel offers secure parking for all kinds of rigs. The second plus is the pet-friendly designation here. After that though, things take a downhill slide. There was considerable physical damage in the bathroom of our room including water and plaster damage on the ceiling and loose bowed tiles on the floor. The hotel is extremely loud--doors slamming constantly. The most unhelpful feature of this hotel was the ambient light streaming in through the window. There were two sets of curtains that we drew closed of course, but they are not light-blocking curtains, and we prefer sleeping in the dark. The lobby coffee station is crammed behind a staircase and is very hard to get to and use, besides which the coffee is terrible. This hotel needs some renovation and repair.
