Staff was nice, sketchy area
La Quinta by Wyndham Manassas BattlefieldWe arrived on a Saturday evening. We were welcomed by some people who were hanging outside having a smoke. We did not feel comfortable at the time, but we were glad we had our dog. My husband gets up pretty early in the morning and likes to sit in the lobby and work on his computer. On his way to the lobby via stairway our first morning, he noticed a couple come in the side door. The girl waited while the guy went to the complimentary breakfast area and filled two plates before he returned to where the girl was waiting. This was apparently a routine they often did, maybe at other hotels.
I don't think the staff was aware of this as the side door was not security locked. There appeared to be cameras, but don't know if they worked. Then another night, a car was left abandoned on the lawn of the hotel. It was still there 3 days later. This is not good for business if nothing is done about a car hanging over broken bushes in the front of the hotel on the lawn. The hotel itself was located very close to the Manassas Battlefield and that made it convenient for my husband to explore. If we had the chance to explore other pet friendly hotels, we might have chosen a different hotel. Don't get me wrong, we stayed at another La Quinta in Pigeon Forge, TN and it was a great experience even for our dog.
