Good stay
The Big Texan MotelEasy self check-in, spacious clean room, gated mini dog park in center of property.
Not very pet friendly
Candlewood Suites El Paso North an IHG HotelThe hotel is under construction so there were no first floor rooms available, even though I requested one in advance and I wasn't told I couldn't have one until I checked in. Best they could do was the 3rd floor. My dog panics in an elevator so we had to walk up and down 6 sets of stairs every time we went outside for a bathroom break. The doors have a spring loaded mechanism which prevents slamming but because you can't close the door quickly, trying to get my dog out and keep my cat in was a nightmare and extremely stressful; and there is only one grass area for pets to relieve themselves, it is very small and poorly kept. In the morning the sprinklers were turned on, flooding the area and disallowing us from being able to use it all. Since there are giant rocks everywhere else on the property, my dog had to relieve himself in the parking lot on the gravel divider next to a bank. Not at all ideal.
Average
Red Roof Inn El Paso WestOK experience, nothing special. Room was bare bones and not nice but clean. Front desk lady was extremely nice and accommodating, but due to a change in management had difficulty processing the reservation. Took a really long time.
