Pleasant but dated
The Scottsdale Plaza Resort & VillasIt's a huge complex in the middle of suburban sprawl. The style is 70’s Spanish throughout - not my favorite. We had a big suite. The staff was nice. With the dog it was hard to take advantage of the pools.

Stunning building and location
Loews Ventana Canyon ResortAn environmentally sensitive building that blends into the Sonoran desert, Loews has a great staff who love dogs. The weak spot is the food - some of the worst hotel fare I’ve ever had.

Clean and Reasonably Priced
Kimpton Hotel Wilshire an IHG HotelAccommodations in Los Angeles tend to be either fabulous - but shockingly expensive - or fairly cheap and absolutely awful. This place manages a sweet spot. While the rooms are not that large and are fairly basic, it's pleasant, well-located, and safe place to stay with your dog.
