Stole my deposit

Charged a $50 deposit upon arrival for room damage. No problem. When we checked out the next morning, I specifically went to the front desk to get my deposit back. The woman at the front desk who was busily keeping the breakfast going told me everything should be fine and my deposit would be refunded.

However, two weeks later when I had to call because my deposit had not been refunded. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that they were keeping the deposit because of dog poop on the carpet. This was absolutely untrue. And absolutely against what the woman had said on the morning of our departure.

BUYER BEWARE. I did not insist on a receipt saying my deposit would be returned that morning. And now I'm hundreds of miles away from the property.
