Good for quick stops
Studio 6 Grand Junction COI’ve stayed here a few times on cross country trips with dog & cat. The rooms have always been clean, the staff have been cool with a curious dog, and the price is tough to beat for the proximity to getting back on the 70. The parking lot could be better with shade & shielding from the road. If you just need a bed & good AC without hotel frills this gets the job done.
A mixed bag
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lexington an IHG HotelThe room itself was clean, the bed was surprisingly firm but I could sleep on stones during a road trip. There’s a grassy area right out front with bags for your dog. Pet rooms seem to be on the third floor so be aware of that if elevators or stairs are a problem. As a bonus for EV drivers there’s a ChargePoint level 2 unit to the left of the main entrance if you want to hit the road with a full battery in the morning. At least when I stayed there, the rooms were wildly expensive so the value is dubious.
